What is mobile app development?

Mobile app development covers designing, building, testing and releasing applications for iOS and Android: defining the core user flows, designing the interface for small screens, writing the app, building or connecting the backend, integrating payments, notifications and analytics, and handling App Store and Google Play submission and updates.

Most products we build use React Native, which shares one codebase across both platforms, with native Swift or Kotlin modules where a feature needs deeper device access. The right choice depends on the features, performance needs and the team that will maintain the app.

Building apps for India's mobile-first users

India is one of the largest smartphone markets in the world, and most of it runs on Android. We plan apps for that reality, working with startups and businesses across India, remotely, from first product scoping through Play Store and App Store launch.

The right technical approach depends on the product. Cross-platform React Native suits most business apps because one codebase reaches Android and iOS. Native Swift or Kotlin is the better choice when an app leans heavily on device hardware, complex animation or platform-specific features.

Android-first testing

We test on a range of Android devices and OS versions, not just flagship phones, because that is where most of your users are.

Small downloads, low data use

App size, image delivery and offline behaviour are planned up front, so the app works on patchy connections and doesn't eat into data plans.

Payments and sign-in people expect

Phone-number login with OTP, UPI and wallet payments through your payment provider, and notifications that respect users rather than spam them.

We recommend React Native or native development based on your features, team and budget, and explain the trade-off before any code is written.

  • India

    The DPDP Act 2023 and DPDP Rules 2025 phase in from November 2025. Most duties for businesses, including notices, security safeguards, breach reporting and user rights, apply from May 2027.

  • United Arab Emirates

    The federal Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) has applied since 2 January 2022, and the DIFC has its own Data Protection Law. Arabic and right-to-left layouts are planned from the start when your audience needs them.

  • United Kingdom

    UK GDPR covers personal data, and the ICO's storage and access guidance, finalised on 29 April 2026, sets the rules for cookies and analytics. We use WCAG 2.2 AA as the accessibility benchmark.

  • Australia

    The Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles apply. From 10 December 2026, privacy policies must also describe significant decisions that software makes or substantially informs (APP 1.7 to 1.9).

  • Singapore

    The Personal Data Protection Act 2012 sets consent, purpose and protection obligations for collecting and using personal data.
